Freelance UX/UI Designer (Remote)
Pay: £35.00 – £50.00 per hour (Outside IR35)
Hours: 20–25 per week
Duration: 3 months (with potential extension)
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Web Product UX Designer to define the strategic vision and shape the user experience of our AI-powered insights platform. You’ll work within a fast-paced, small team where your work has immediate impact.
This dual-focus role involves high-level UX strategy and hands-on delivery, collaborating closely with the CTO, Head of Product, Strategy Director, and UI Designer.

Platform Overview
You will work on the Canvas8 platform, a premium digital product used by global brands. Key features include:
- Library of in-depth articles & case studies
- Access to expert opinions & talks
- Live member events
- AI-powered tools for insight generation
- Culture Monitor for real-time trend tracking
A complex, feature-rich platform needing thoughtful UX.
Key Responsibilities
- Define & document the UX strategy and product vision
- Review existing product and identify improvement opportunities
- Create and evolve UX design system components
- Lead UX research, interviews, surveys, and analytics reviews
- Deliver wireframes, prototypes, and UX solutions via Figma
- Support agile sprints and provide work to development teams
- Facilitate workshops with cross-functional leaders
- Advocate for data-informed, user-centered design
Requirements
- 5+ years in end-to-end UX design (research → strategy → interaction → prototyping)
- Experience with B2B SaaS, expert workflows, or membership platforms
- Strong information architecture and interaction design skills
- Proven design system experience
- Ability to work autonomously in fast-paced, small teams
- Experience with A/B testing and analytics
- Advanced Figma proficiency, including accessibility and component systems
