Our frontend stack is TypeScript + React, interacting with Golang and Python backends.
The Opportunity
We are hiring a Staff Frontend Engineer to work on our Grafana Cloud k6 product. You’ll join a small, high-impact team, contribute directly to product design and development, and shape the engineering culture.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and maintain Grafana Cloud k6 web app (TypeScript + React)
- Maintain auxiliary libraries and tools interfacing with the web app
- Collaborate with Product and UX to improve user experience
- Drive projects from ideation to delivery, operations, and iteration
- Participate in roadmap discussions and influence product direction
- Take part in on-call rotations, owning services you help build
- Work with colleagues across multiple time zones
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Several years’ experience as a Senior Frontend Engineer
- Strong ability to work independently in a remote-first environment
- Pragmatic approach: breaking down challenges, building modular solutions, iterating quickly
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work by consensus
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Bonus Skills
- Full lifecycle experience from requirements to shipped product
- Strong skills in single-page applications and API integrations
- Expertise in modern JS/TS stack: TypeScript, ES6+, bundlers, CSS-in-JS, state management
- Minimum 2 years daily experience with React.js
- Experience with debugging, testing (Jest, RTL, Playwright), and performance profiling
- Familiarity with TanStack Query, Styled Components/Emotion, Webpack, Vite
- Exposure to backend technologies such as Golang
