Frontend Engineer (React)

About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer who cares deeply about user experience and clean code. You will join a product team building a high-scale fintech platform in the Nordics, taking ownership of the client-side architecture and working closely with backend teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, reusable, and reliable React components
- Collaborate with backend teams to integrate RESTful APIs
- Optimize applications for performance, speed, and scalability
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions
- Occasionally work with Node.js for Backend-for-Frontend logic or server-side rendering
Expectations
- 5+ years of professional experience in web development
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3
- Experience with CSS preprocessors (SASS/LESS) or CSS-in-JS
- Extensive commercial experience with React, including Hooks, Context API, and state management
- Solid understanding of Node.js for tooling or lightweight backend tasks
- Experience with testing tools such as Jest, Cypress, or React Testing Library
