Salary: £56,623 – £65,336
Contract: Full Time, Permanent (Fixed Term/Interim may also be available)

About the Role
Join the University of Oxford as Head of Subsidiary Accounts, a senior position within the Finance Division. You’ll manage the financial operations of University subsidiary companies, joint ventures, and linked charities, ensuring compliance, governance, and strategic support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a small, expert finance team
- Overseeing statutory reporting, management accounts, and compliance
- Supporting boards, auditors, and senior stakeholders
- Advising on financial setup of new ventures
- Driving process improvements and providing training
About You
We are looking for:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA)
- Experience in financial and management accounting within complex organisations
- Strong knowledge of SME reporting, compliance, and tax
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency with Sage (or similar), Excel, and financial systems
Desirable: Oracle Financials, charity accounting, tax knowledge, and higher education sector experience.
