Overview
Are you an exceptional Headteacher ready to lead a forward-thinking Special Educational Needs (SEND) school through its next phase of success? This is a rare opportunity for a passionate and experienced school leader to make a lasting difference to children with complex and moderate learning needs.
The school is known for its caring ethos, dedicated staff, and child-centred approach. Governors are seeking a Headteacher who can build on strong foundations while driving improvement, inclusion, creativity, and high expectations for pupils and staff. You will work alongside a supportive trust and an Executive Headteacher who values collaboration, innovation, and compassionate leadership.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and inspirational leadership to drive continuous improvement
- Lead staff in delivering high-quality, engaging education
- Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, governors, and external professionals
- Manage school budgets and resources effectively
- Champion a creative and ambitious curriculum that supports independence and confidence
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Headteacher, Executive Headteacher, or Deputy Headteacher
- Experience within SEND or mainstream education
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- NPQH or NPQEL desirable
- Strong understanding of SEND provision and safeguarding
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strategic leadership with strong operational capability
