We are recruiting for Health Care Assistants to join our teams at Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. You will work within Victoria Ward, a 20-bed unit supporting older persons experiencing acute mental health crises such as depression and bipolar disorder.

Responsibilities
- Observe, report, and record changes in patients’ physical and mental health.
- Provide care and support with daily living activities.
- Respect and uphold the individuality, customs, values, and beliefs of patients.
- Facilitate therapeutic and social engagement activities.
- Contribute to assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Escort patients as directed by the nurse in charge.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
- Maintain professional boundaries while providing emotional and social support.
Qualifications & Skills
- Understanding of care plans.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and telephone).
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Compassion, respect, and patience in supporting individuals with mental health needs.
