Overview
The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) is seeking a dedicated Health Care Support Worker to join the Enhanced Intermediate Care team in Oldham.
You will assist in delivering high-quality, holistic care—ensuring patients’ dignity, safety, and wellbeing are maintained at all times.
Main Duties
- Assist patients with nutrition and personal care needs
- Support safe moving and handling of patients
- Observe and report any changes in patients’ conditions to registered clinicians
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and assist clinical staff when required
- Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate records and confidentiality
- Respect patient privacy, dignity, and beliefs
Note: This role does not qualify for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.

Qualifications & Requirements
Essential:
- Care Certificate (or willing to complete within 12 weeks)
- Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE English & Maths Grade D–G)
- Good communication and basic IT skills
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 2 in Healthcare or equivalent apprenticeship
- Experience in health or social care
- Good organisational skills and commitment to CPD
