Salary: £24,169 pro rata per annum

About the Role
We are looking to recruit a Healthcare Cleaner to join our Facilities team at Florence Nightingale Community Hospital.
Healthcare Cleaners play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in line with the National Standards of Cleanliness 2021. You will be responsible for ensuring all work schedules are followed, cleaning equipment is used correctly, and faults are reported.
No formal qualifications are required, but you must be willing to undertake the necessary training. Previous cleaning experience in a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential.
A comprehensive training package and ongoing support will be provided by the Facilities Management team.
Main Duties
- Maintain cleanliness standards across designated areas.
- Follow cleaning schedules and procedures in line with Trust policies.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is used correctly and report any faults.
- Work flexibly within the Facilities team.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Basic knowledge of cleaning principles.
- Physically able to carry out all aspects of the role.
- Willingness to undertake training.
Desirable:
- Previous cleaning experience in healthcare.
- Experience using cleaning machines.
- NVQ in Cleaning, BICS, or Infection Control certificates.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
