We are looking for brilliant carers to cover shifts on a flexible contract. Good Oaks Home Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistant to work in our Wimbledon location.
As a Home Care Assistant, you will play a critical role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, helping them maintain their independence and dignity while providing the care and support they need.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) while promoting privacy and dignity.
- Mobility Assistance: Support clients with walking, transfers, and prescribed exercises.
- Medication Support: Remind and assist clients with medications safely.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation and activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform laundry, dishwashing, and maintain a tidy environment.
- Appointment Assistance: Help clients schedule and attend medical appointments or therapy sessions.
- Observations & Reporting: Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or behavior.
- Safety Measures: Identify and address potential hazards in clients’ homes.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of care provided.
- Support for Family Members: Collaborate with families to support care plans.

Requirements
- Clear DBS check
- Two references
- Valid right to work in the UK
- Alternate weekend availability
Previous experience in domiciliary care, residential care, or support work is desirable but not essential — full training will be provided.
