Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Care Assistant to support individuals in their daily living activities, either in care homes or private residences. You will provide personalised assistance, promote independence, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for clients. This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support and follow personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Help with light household chores: cleaning, laundry, meal preparation
- Monitor clients’ wellbeing and report concerns promptly
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required
- Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with the team and families
- Follow health and safety protocols, including infection control
Skills & Requirements:
- Valid driving licence with safe driving experience
- Experience in care homes or providing home care services
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow them precisely
- Excellent English communication skills
- Basic IT skills for record-keeping
- Compassionate, organised, and reliable
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
