What Nonstop is Looking For:
Nonstop is seeking an HR & Payroll Coordinator with at least 4 years of experience in payroll processing and human resources support. We are looking for a highly trustworthy and engaged professional with a strong ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-performing team.
Payroll Duties & Responsibilities:
- Process semi-monthly payroll in a multi-state environment using Paylocity
- Identify and process payroll changes
- Verify time cards, direct deposits, and retirement deduction files
- Review and upload payroll reports
- Request wires for off-cycle deposits
- Resolve payroll liabilities by reviewing employee federal, local, and state income and social security tax calculations, and ensure employee payroll tax deductions are up to date
- Conduct time card audits
- Track PTO usage to ensure it is being used according to policy
- Validate timecard discrepancies and work with business partners to resolve
- Conduct regular employee local payroll tax and W2 audits (quarterly) via Paylocity
- Year End Dashboard – review and resolve issues (payroll tax and W2’s)
- Attention to detail – updating exemptions, forms and correcting payroll discrepancies
- Process and monitor all payroll garnishments in compliance with federal / state laws and communicate with garnishing agencies
- The experience and knowledge to address and resolve inquiries and issues related to payroll
- Provide support with basic budgeting
- Accounting and budget forecasting
HR Duties & Responsibilities:
- First resolution helping employees navigate benefit and payroll issues/concerns
- Effectively maintain employee records in HRIS and HR Drive
- Ensuring compliance with Employment Law
- On-board and off-board employee and profile data
- Assist with reviewing and reconciling monthly benefits invoicing
- Provide data analytics and metric dashboards
- Manage employee leave of absence, worker’s compensation and ergonomics
- Assist with Benefits Open Enrollment
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- Full-cycle, multistate payroll processing experience
- Proficiency in Paylocity
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in Excel and basic budgeting/accounting experience
- Experience assisting with open enrollment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and support HR projects
- Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and resolve obstacles
- High-speed, reliable internet connection required
Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Experience working with multiple insurance carriers (Cal-Choice, Kaiser, MetLife, EyeMed, LFG, Landmark)
- Comfortable operating in a constantly changing environment
- Must be comfortable working remotely
- HRIS Systems: Paylocity, BSwift, Percipio, PayFactor, PerformYard, and Carta, etc.
- Experience using MAC, Google Suite, and Powerpoint
Perks and Compensation:
- Full-time / Non-Exempt
- Hourly Range $31.25 to $33.65 per hour

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer per day
- Repetitive use of fingers, hands, elbows, and arms including typing, reaching, grasping, and writing
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and carry 5-30 pounds occasionally
- Hearing and speaking ability sufficient to carry on a conversation with another individual (or groups of individuals) in person and over the telephone.
- Visual ability is sufficient to read and produce printed material and information displayed on a computer screen.
