About the Position
The Human Resources Representative assists with the day-to-day operations of Human Resources (HR) issues including the administration of HR policies, procedures with specific emphasis on Employee Relations, Benefits and Compensation and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). Assists in the implementation of HR Strategy. Implements and coordinates HR programs and activities for client groups.
ROLE:
1. Assist in the implementation of HR Strategy. Implement and coordinate HR programs and activities for client groups. Maintain productive working relationships with management teams and HR counterparts throughout the process.
2. Assist in the implementation of the business unit’s talent agenda, focusing on development initiatives, including workforce planning, selection and retention strategies, while continually upgrading the talent pool across all lines of the business segment.
3. Provide sound counsel and influence to management with respect to employee relations matters, including EEO law and firm policies/practices. Investigate EEO concerns; make recommendations and implement solutions based on issues investigation process, prepare summary report of employee relations issues.
4. Assist in the implementation of learning and development solutions in partnership with business leaders and counterparts to address key skill gaps or to leverage key strengths within the university.
5. Assist in the creation and evaluation of business reports, decisions, and results in relation to established goals. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency and services performed.
6. Monitor activities to ensure compliance with internal guidelines, federal and state employment law, and regulatory requirements collaborating with key internal resources as needed.
7. Support change management and organizational effectiveness to optimize successful implementation of university change.
8. Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree (business, HR, or related field)
- One or more years of HR experience
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior HR Generalist experience preferred
- PHR Certification and/or other HR related certification preferred
- Ability to communicate in both written and oral formats to all organizational levels to perform the functions listed above, using standard human resources terms.
- Strong analytical ability
- Results oriented and able to manage multiple processes and activities simultaneously
