Overview
Liverpool City Council is recruiting an ICT Technical Specialist to deliver high-quality technical support across end-user devices and digital services.
This role is based onsite in and is ideal for experienced IT professionals with strong technical troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience supporting enterprise systems such as Microsoft 365, networking infrastructure, and device management.
Working with the council provides an opportunity to contribute to community services while supporting digital transformation initiatives that improve how public services are delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced end-user technology support, including device configuration and troubleshooting
- Resolve complex issues across devices, applications, and infrastructure
- Support Microsoft 365 E5 services, including Teams, security, compliance, unified communications, and corporate telephony
- Assist with software updates, system enhancements, and service improvements
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, VPN, remote access)
- Conduct advanced Wi-Fi troubleshooting, including signal quality analysis and interference management
- Configure and maintain network printers
- Apply working knowledge of VLANs and network port configurations
