Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) as an Information Analyst, working within the Transformation Management Office to support the NHS Wales Decarbonisation Strategic Delivery Plan.
You’ll play a vital role in analysing and interpreting complex data, producing intelligence to inform decision-making across NHS Wales. This role will involve working closely with Health Boards, Trusts, Welsh Government, and other NWSSP divisions.
Welsh language skills are desirable, but not essential — Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyse and interpret complex datasets to support the Decarbonisation Programme.
- Review data quality issues and present findings clearly.
- Influence the development of datasets for NHS Wales initiatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues across NWSSP, NHS Wales, and Welsh Government.
- Contribute to wider transformation projects.
Essential Requirements
- Degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, Power BI, and other BI/web technologies.
- Proven track record in an information-based environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).
- Advanced IT and analytical skills.
Desirable Skills & Knowledge
- Experience in a health informatics or project-based environment.
- Modelling and advanced analytical techniques.
- Understanding of NHS Wales priorities and sustainability agendas.
- Welsh language skills.
