Junior Data Analyst

Overview

We are looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join our growing technology function. You will support a wide range of business activities while working with high-profile clients in the global music industry.

This role is ideal for someone early in their analytics career who is eager to learn, grow, and gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge data and music royalty systems.


Key Responsibilities

Analytic Reporting

  • Assist with delivering reports across audits, transaction services, rights management, and third-party accounting.
  • Collate and report on catalogue metadata from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Generate data quality reports and contribute suggestions during daily team stand-ups.

Royalty Data Mapping & Reconciliations

  • Work directly with royalty data to support mapping procedures for smooth data ingestion.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to implement and refine Machine Learning (ML) and Large Language Models (LLMs) for improved categorisation and labelling accuracy.
  • Carry out reconciliation tasks to verify accuracy of data deliveries against documentation.

Business Development

  • Take part in internal agile data sprints held every two weeks.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of company technology and infrastructure, helping Y Royalties stay ahead of the competition.

Skills & Experience

We are seeking candidates who:

  • Are ambitious and eager to gain experience in analytics.
  • Pay close attention to detail with strong numerical accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
  • Work well as part of a team but can also manage tasks independently.
  • Hold a degree in mathematics, finance, analytics, or a related field.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Exposure to programmatic tools or Business Intelligence (BI) platforms.
  • Work experience in analytics or within the music industry.
  • A genuine passion for music and supporting creatives.
