Salary: £73,000 – £80,000 per year
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours/week)

Overview
Cambridge University Press & Assessment is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our Technology team. You will design and develop advanced eLearning solutions using TypeScript and ReactJS, while mentoring up to two software engineers and shaping architectural standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of feature-rich web services and applications.
 - Drive architectural best practices and code quality through reviews and paired programming.
 - Collaborate closely with UX, QA, Product Owners, and other stakeholders.
 - Develop solutions leveraging Amazon AWS technologies.
 - Participate in requirements gathering, focusing on technical specifications.
 - Champion agile development practices across the team.
 
About You
- 7+ years of full-stack development experience (TypeScript/JavaScript preferred; Python or Java desirable).
 - Strong coding, architecture, and object-oriented programming skills.
 - Agile experience in Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban, or scaled frameworks.
 - Proactive, flexible, and able to quickly learn new technologies.
 - Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
