We are seeking a professional, empathetic, and detail-oriented Live Chat Agent to manage our digital “front door” and assist potential clients in their time of need.
This is not a sales role; it is a specialized intake position where you will use our secure chat platform to gather preliminary case details, answer general firm questions, and screen inquiries based on our practice areas.
Responsibilities
- Real-Time Engagement: Manage 2–3 simultaneous chat conversations with professionalism and attention to detail.
- Screening & Information Gathering: Use firm-approved scripts to determine if a lead falls under our core practice areas. Collect accurate contact information and brief incident summaries for attorney review.
- Supportive Interaction: Provide a calm, empathetic experience for individuals who may be distressed due to workplace injuries or legal challenges.
- Data Management: Input chat transcripts and lead data into our case management system (e.g., Clio or MyCase).
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to HIPAA and attorney-client confidentiality standards in all interactions.
Qualifications
- 2+ years in live chat or high-volume digital customer service (legal or medical intake experience preferred)
- Dedicated, quiet home office with high-speed internet (minimum 50 Mbps) and modern computer
- Typing speed of 65 WPM or higher with 98% accuracy
- Exceptional written English skills; ability to explain complex procedures clearly (without giving legal advice)
- High school diploma required; Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate is a plus
