About the Role
The Market Risk team at Macquarie is responsible for measuring and managing the firm’s exposure to losses resulting from changes in financial markets. Given the diversity and complexity of Macquarie’s trading products, the role is both challenging and central to how the organisation operates.
You will collaborate closely with trading desks and other stakeholders to ensure risks are identified, understood, and effectively managed.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate, understand, and report daily market risk metrics to trading desks and senior management.
- Partner with front-office traders to ensure risks are managed within approved limits.
- Support new product and limit approvals, risk scenario development, and limit setting for new ventures.
- Investigate significant profit and loss events and report key drivers.
- Monitor market trends and assess their potential risk implications.
- Collaborate with global teams across Sydney, Hong Kong, Singapore, London, Paris, Dublin, New York, and Houston.
