Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Mental Health Nurse (Band 6) to join the Adult Community Mental Health Services Team in North Hertfordshire / Stevenage.
You’ll be part of a supportive and dynamic team providing compassionate, evidence-based care to adults experiencing complex mental health needs. The Trust offers excellent career development, wellbeing support, and continuous training opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and deliver personalised care for adults with mental health and/or social care needs.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Liaise effectively with multi-disciplinary teams, carers, and external agencies.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to student nurses.
- Participate in audits, clinical supervision, and continuous service improvement.
Requirements
Essential:
- RMN or BSc (Hons) in Mental Health Nursing
- NMC registration
- Experience working with adults in mental health settings (acute or community)
- Strong communication and care planning skills
Desirable:
- Specialist Community Nursing qualification
- Experience delivering psychosocial interventions
