Night Care Assistant – Towy Castle Care Home
Location: Carmarthen
Pay: £12.60 per hour
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 22:00 – 08:00 | 3 nights on, 3 nights off (includes weekends and bank holidays)

About Towy Castle
Set in three acres of landscaped gardens with views over the Towy estuary, Towy Castle Care Home is a 61-bed service offering residential and dementia care in a calm, welcoming setting. With over 35 years of trusted service, our long-standing team is proud to deliver personalised care with dignity, compassion, and consistency.
Your Role
Working overnight, you’ll be a reassuring presence for our residents, helping with care needs and maintaining a peaceful and safe environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting personal care and settling-in routines
- Providing emotional reassurance during the night
- Monitoring resident wellbeing and reporting changes
- Assisting with early morning routines and preparations
- Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the home overnight
- Working closely with the night team to ensure continuity of care
What We’re Looking For
- Care experience in a residential or dementia care setting (preferred)
- Familiarity with night shift routines and responsive care
- Kind, observant, and calm under pressure
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work toward it)
- Previous night shift experience preferred
