Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Waking Night Support Worker to join our team at Arundel House. You will play a vital role in supporting individuals overnight, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being while promoting independence and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with mobility, transfers, and occasional heavy lifting.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition.
- Administer prescribed medication and monitor health conditions.
- Use behaviour management techniques to assist clients with challenging behaviours.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Document all care activities and report changes to healthcare professionals.
- Accompany clients to appointments or social activities when needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or senior care.
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s, dementia, and hospice care.
- Compassionate caregiving approach and strong communication skills.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and working hours.
- Proficiency in emergency response procedures.
