Payments Product Business Analyst – Junior Associate or Senior Associate

As a Business Associate on the Payment Rails Product Development team, you will play a key role in analysing and enhancing payment processes within the Payments organisation. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll help shape the future of J.P. Morgan’s strategic payments platforms and contribute to their continued success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and document business requirements through stakeholder interactions, including interviews and workshops.
  • Analyse business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement, and document requirements and specifications clearly.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to design solutions that meet business needs (use cases, process models, functional specs).
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication of requirements.
  • Assist project managers in planning, executing, and monitoring projects, including risk tracking and progress reporting.
  • Participate in testing processes — create test plans, conduct tests, and validate results.
  • Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Create reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in business analysis.
  • Experience in end-to-end product lifecycle using Agile methodologies.
  • Understanding of SWIFT message types and ISO 20022 MX format.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Proficiency in Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as BCS or IIBA (desirable).
  • Experience within Payments or the Financial Services industry.
