Key Details

  • Hours & Pay:
    • 37 hrs/week – £33,746
    • 39 hrs/week – £35,875
    • 41 hrs/week – £38,003
  • Shifts include evenings, some nights, weekends & public holidays
  • 25 days’ holiday (rising to 30 after 10 years) + public holidays + 1 privilege day
  • Civil Service Pension with 28.97% employer contribution

Essential Requirements

  • Age 18+ at start of employment
  • Meet Civil Service nationality requirements
  • Pass medical, fitness, eyesight & hearing tests
  • Good communication & influencing skills
  • Commitment to quality and effective decision-making
  • Care, empathy & understanding
  • Must have resided in the UK for the last 3 years (for high-security Category A roles)
  • Tattoos permitted if not offensive; facial tattoos generally unacceptable unless for cultural/religious/medical reasons
