Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee a diverse range of projects within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent organisational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing resources, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in driving project success and fostering continuous improvement across departments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects in accordance with organisational objectives and standards.
- Supervise project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and effective collaboration.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify project issues or delays and implement corrective actions.
- Gather and define project requirements by liaising with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of project scope.
- Utilise project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Jira, or Smartsheet to develop schedules, track progress, and report on milestones.
- Manage project budgets, control costs, and optimise resource utilisation to maximise efficiency.
- Facilitate communication among team members, stakeholders, and clients through effective presentation skills and regular updates.
- Apply various project management methodologies including Waterfall, SAFe, or Agile frameworks like Scrum using tools such as Confluence or SharePoint.
- Oversee content management systems and utilise data analysis skills for performance monitoring and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with organisational standards by maintaining documentation within platforms like Workday or ServiceNow.
- Promote continuous improvement by analysing project outcomes and implementing lessons learned into future initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience with the ability to manage multiple teams across different projects.
- Strong leadership qualities complemented by excellent communication skills and organisational abilities.
- Extensive knowledge of project management principles including requirements gathering, cost control, time management, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Proficiency in using project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Jira, Smartsheet, or equivalent tools.
- Experience with various methodologies including Waterfall and SAFe frameworks; familiarity with Agile practices is advantageous.
- Competence in conducting root cause analysis and data analysis to inform decision-making processes.
- Knowledge of content management systems like SharePoint or Confluence is desirable.
- Ability to manage complex schedules using tools such as Visio or Primavera P6 effectively.
- Familiarity with enterprise systems such as Salesforce or SAP is a plus.
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the capacity to prioritise tasks efficiently under pressure.
