Overview
Southampton City Council’s Kentish Road Respite Service is seeking an experienced Quality and Operational Lead to manage and enhance care for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.
You’ll lead daily operations, ensure compliance with CQC and council standards, and drive continuous quality improvement within the service.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and care delivery at the Kentish Road Respite Unit.
- Conduct assessments, develop outcome-focused care plans, and manage risks.
- Supervise and develop staff, ensuring best practice and compliance.
- Lead safeguarding practices and promote independence and wellbeing.
- Drive service improvement, audits, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with families, carers, and partner agencies.
About You
- Level 4 Lead Practitioner in Adult Care (or willingness to achieve Level 5).
- Strong leadership background in adult social care, particularly with learning disabilities and autism.
- Skilled in supervision, quality assurance, and service improvement.
- Knowledge of statutory care frameworks and safeguarding.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
