Salary: £28,800 – £37,425
Location: Cambridge, UK / Hybrid (minimum 2 days in the office)
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours per week)

 Role overview

We are looking for a Quality & Compliance Manager to join our English division. In this role, you will play a key part in protecting the reputation and validity of Cambridge English assessments globally. The Quality & Compliance team is responsible for ensuring that over 1,300 exam centres worldwide operate effectively and in line with our regulations. You will:

  • Define and communicate compliance standards
  • Monitor global centre performance
  • Safeguard assessments against malpractice
  • Support centres in meeting our requirements

A major focus of your role will be speaking test compliance, where you will become a subject matter expert while also contributing to wider compliance and monitoring activities.

Responsibilities

  • Become an expert in speaking test delivery requirements, ensuring compliance across exam centres
  • Monitor compliance performance data, identify risks, and implement improvements
  • Make decisions on exam centre status and approvals for new centres and products
  • Investigate and resolve compliance issues, ensuring effective and lasting solutions
  • Provide compliance guidance on cross-functional projects and new product initiatives

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • A confident communicator, both written and verbal, with strong presentation skills
  • Capable of handling multiple priorities and remaining calm under pressure
  • Skilled in building strong relationships with both internal colleagues and external partners
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability to adapt to new systems

Desirable experience includes:

  • Working in an exam centre, education, qualifications, or compliance-related role
  • Experience in quality assurance, project management, or people/process management

You should also be detail-oriented, proactive, open to continuous improvement, and willing to travel internationally if required.
