Job Description

Join the University of Leeds and support world-class research in sustainability, circular economy, and construction materials. You will work directly with Professor Theodore Hanein, Chair in Construction Materials Science, to lead the management, engagement, and communication efforts across several high-impact projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of engagement and communication strategies
  • Manage and promote research through events, media content, and trade publications
  • Organize stakeholder activities: advisory board meetings, site visits, seminars, and workshops
  • Collaborate with researchers and industry to ensure relevance and impact
  • Track, analyse, and report on project KPIs and engagement outcomes

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience managing R&D projects or technical communications
  • Can develop impactful outreach strategies and coordinate complex stakeholder networks
  • Is comfortable working in interdisciplinary teams with researchers, industry, and the public
  • Ideally has knowledge of sustainability, construction, or materials science (preferred but not required)
