Responsibilities
- Develop evidence bases for key strategies such as:
- Spatial Development Strategy (SDS)
- Net Zero Pathway
- Local Transport Plan
- Support cross-department policy development:
- Employment and Skills
- Business and Innovation
- Housing and Spatial Planning
- Culture and Environment
- Assist the Investment Team in business case development and appraisal, ensuring compliance with HMT Green Book.
Essential Criteria
Applicants must provide clear examples in their personal statement of how they meet the following:
- Experience analysing and interpreting publicly available economic data
- Experience communicating and presenting economic data to senior stakeholders
- Experience developing and appraising HMT Green Book compliant business cases, with a focus on value-for-money assessments
Candidate Profile
- Strong project management and people skills
- Proficient in socio-economic data analysis and impact modelling
- Excellent communicator—written, visual, and verbal
- Skilled in both qualitative and quantitative analytical methods
