Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable backend systems using Node.js and Typescript
- Build and optimize APIs and data pipelines for high-traffic consumer applications
- Ensure performance, security, and reliability of backend services
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver seamless user experiences
- Participate in code reviews, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to maintain high engineering standards
- Implement unit, integration, and load tests to ensure robust applications
- Manage cloud services and databases (Google Cloud, Digital Ocean, Redis, MongoDB, SQL)
Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in Typescript and Node.js development
- Strong knowledge of document/key-value stores (Redis, MongoDB) and relational databases (SQL)
- Proven experience in building scalable consumer-facing applications
- Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, time complexity)
- Expertise in API design and backend architecture
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and deployment (Google Cloud, Digital Ocean)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working in a distributed team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to performance optimization
