About the Role
Public Health Wales is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join their User Centered Design team. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing public health services through insightful research, analysis, and collaboration. You will work within a small, dedicated UCD team and report to the Principal Service Designer, playing a key role in shaping the future of business analysis across Public Health Wales.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structured business analysis to support high-impact health projects
- Work with users, partners, and suppliers to enhance data flows and service outcomes
- Translate technical details and challenges into actionable insights
- Map and redesign processes, systems, and data for transformation initiatives
- Facilitate workshops and engage stakeholders at all levels, including Welsh Government
- Provide recommendations based on data, user research, and scenario mapping
Main Duties
- Define and evolve the business analysis function within Public Health Wales
- Support service development with measurable success criteria
- Deliver recommendations that improve public engagement and internal efficiency
- Communicate findings effectively to cross-functional teams and external partners
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
- Minimum 10 years of work experience in business analysis
- Strong background in public health, healthcare, or complex organisations
- Exceptional stakeholder communication and process design skills
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and agile environments
