About the Role
Siemens Financial Services is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Senior Data Analyst on a 12-month contract to join our energetic Data Team. This pivotal role supports strategic planning and decision-making by mining, organizing, and analyzing data across multiple business areas. You’ll collaborate with UK-based analysts and IT experts, as well as our central team in Germany, helping shape the digital future of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain data sources for Business Intelligence (BI) solutions.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and develop SQL scripts.
- Deliver accurate data insights for executives and the Data Team.
- Develop and implement data solutions using Data Modelling, ETL/ELT, and Data Warehousing.
- Resolve data access and performance issues.
- Automate recurring reports and analyses.
- Collaborate with the HQ Data Team in Germany on cross-border data initiatives.
- Promote the use of data-driven insights across departments.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Experience producing BI reporting (Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong SQL and database modelling skills.
- ETL/ELT and data warehouse experience.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
- Financial Services industry experience.
- JIRA knowledge and awareness of Agile methodology.
- Commercial exposure to Python.
- Awareness of emerging data science technologies.
