About the Role
Oxford’s Department of Economics is at the forefront of research shaping the global economic agenda—from AI and global trade to inclusive growth and climate solutions. We are seeking a Senior Development Executive to drive transformative philanthropic partnerships that directly support groundbreaking research and the next generation of economic leaders.
As the department’s first dedicated major gifts professional, you will:
- Establish and implement a pioneering philanthropic giving programme
- Work closely with Economics’ leadership and Oxford’s Social Sciences Development & Alumni Engagement team
- Support initiatives such as endowing academic posts, expanding graduate scholarships, and launching innovative research programmes
About You
We are looking for a collaborative fundraiser with:
- Proven experience in major gifts and complex philanthropic support
- Strategic thinking and strong operational skills
- Excellent relationship-building and communication abilities
- Experience in higher education and/or Economics is desirable
- A passion for creating meaningful impact through strategic philanthropic partnerships
