Technology Resourcing Limited is supporting a well-funded ($100m+) tech innovator in hiring a Senior Embedded Android Developer. You will join a world-class engineering team building advanced Android functionality for embedded systems in an agile environment, collaborating closely with UX, Product and QA teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and enhance Android features for embedded devices
- Improve and maintain a sophisticated codebase
- Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams
- Produce clear requirements and technical documentation
What You’ll Bring
Essential:
- Proven experience developing Android apps for embedded devices
- Strong Java for Android development skills
- UI design and implementation expertise
- API integration experience
- Strong documentation and communication abilities
Desirable:
- AOSP knowledge
- Android Kiosk mode and custom controls
- Experience with safety-critical systems (automotive, aerospace, medical etc.)
- Android Studio proficiency
- MVC, MVP, MVVM architecture patterns
- Appium, bootloaders, TDD
- Cybersecurity awareness and peer code reviews
- Cloud or IoT development experience
