About the Role
Techmunity are exclusively hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer for a fast-growing startup building an AI-driven SaaS platform used by major brands in the coffee shop/QSR world (including Pret and Blank Street). In this role, you will take full ownership of their client-side architecture and act as the bridge between Design and Engineering, transforming complex workflows into a seamless, high-performing, mobile-first user experience. As mobile usage grows, you’ll ensure the platform stays responsive, accessible, and optimized for performance. You will also define frontend standards, build a scalable component library, and mentor engineers on modern React practices—driving the entire technical direction of the frontend.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and architect the company’s frontend ecosystem
- Build a scalable, modern component library and design system
- Translate operational workflows into intuitive, mobile-first user experiences
- Ensure strong performance, accessibility, and cross-device usability
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams
- Mentor developers on React, TypeScript, and testing best practices
Required Skills & Experience
- Deep React expertise (complex SPAs, React + TypeScript)
- Design system experience (Storybook or similar)
- Strong CSS skills (Tailwind, styled-components, CSS Modules)
- Testing mindset with tools like Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright
Bonus Experience
- Progressive Web App technologies
- Modern build tools such as Vite or Turborepo
- Startup experience balancing fast delivery with scale
