Description
Gold Group Ltd is seeking a skilled FPGA Engineer to join their multi-disciplined engineering team in Rochester. You will contribute to the design and verification of complex FPGA solutions used in advanced technologies, including:
- Augmented reality displays
- Head-up displays
- Mission computers
- Fly-by-wire flight controls
- Active inceptors
- Other safety-critical aviation and defence systems
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise in PLD/FPGA development from requirements to final verification
- Carry out concept design, detailed design, VHDL coding, and synthesis
- Understand FPGA design constraints and cross-discipline impacts
- Manage personal tasks and support team schedules and budgets
- Deliver design artefacts aligned with company standards
- Coach and mentor junior engineers
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Degree/HND in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of FPGA technologies, tools, and development techniques
- Prior experience working in an FPGA development team
Desirable Skills
- Digital hardware design for FPGA using VHDL
- Knowledge of video processing & control law algorithms
- Experience with UVM constrained random verification
- Existing SC Clearance or aerospace/defence background
