Excelsis Healthcare is seeking compassionate and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistants to join our dedicated care teams across the UK. We are urgently hiring, with immediate start dates available.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in managing junior staff, supporting residents’ daily needs, and creating a safe and nurturing care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of junior care assistants
- Provide personal care (washing, dressing, grooming)
- Assist with meals and hydration
- Build trusting relationships with residents
- Promote dignity and advocate for residents’ well-being
- Observe and report changes in health or behavior
- Create a positive and engaging living environment
- Collaborate with Household Leads on care planning
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is compassionate, professional, and confident in their ability to lead. You should be organized, proactive, and passionate about delivering high-quality care.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Senior Healthcare Assistant in a care home setting (No domiciliary experience accepted)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- A respectful, patient, and caring attitude
- Basic IT and record-keeping skills
- Proactive leadership abilities
