Overview
We’re seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to design and deliver data-driven solutions for high-profile public sector clients.
You’ll work within multidisciplinary Agile teams, developing interactive dashboards and data models that empower stakeholders to make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Data Modelling & Preparation
- Develop and maintain robust data models for Power BI reports.
- Clean, transform, and validate datasets for consistency and accuracy.
- Identify and resolve data integrity or performance issues.
Data Visualisation & Reporting
- Design and build interactive Power BI dashboards that tell a clear data story.
- Apply best practices in design, accessibility, and storytelling.
- Create advanced DAX measures and Power Query (M) transformations.
Analysis & Collaboration
- Partner with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver insights.
- Conduct data profiling and validation to ensure report accuracy.
- Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Governance & Decision Support
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
- Support evidence-based decision-making through analytics.
- Promote self-service BI by sharing knowledge across teams.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Strong SQL and data modelling expertise (star/snowflake schema).
- Solid understanding of DAX, Power Query, and data analysis principles.
- Experience in Python for advanced analytics (desirable).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Agile environments and familiarity with SFIA Level 5.
- Must hold or be eligible for SC Clearance.
