Senior Power BI Developer
Location: Remote – Work from Home
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Developer to design and deliver high-quality reporting solutions with a strong focus on finance and management information (MI). You will work closely with senior finance stakeholders to turn complex requirements into accurate, insightful, and scalable reports.
This role offers the opportunity to shape reporting standards, improve data-driven decision-making across the business, and mentor others in Power BI best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of end-to-end Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models
- Collaborate with Finance teams to understand financial metrics, statutory reporting, and management information needs
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders
- Work with multiple data sources including Azure SQL Data Warehouse, APIs, and enterprise systems
- Provide expert insight into business performance and support strategic MI initiatives
- Contribute to projects that enhance financial and business decision-making
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end Power BI solutions in a senior or lead role
- Strong background in finance reporting (management accounts, KPIs, budgets, forecasts)
- Advanced skills in DAX, Excel, SSRS, SSIS, and Power Query
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric pipelines and deployments
- Strong analytical and performance optimisation skills
- Excellent time management and stakeholder engagement abilities

- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Project Operations and Finance & Operations
