About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our Segments & Propositions (S&P) Platform, delivering a unified digital servicing experience for personal customers. The platform enhances digital engagement and self-service capabilities across multiple labs with collaborative, cross-functional teams.
This role is ideal for a hands-on DevOps/SRE professional with a background in software engineering or scripting. You’ll bring a strong understanding of application ecosystems, observability, and service reliability — using your technical leadership to mentor others and drive performance excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver against GCP and SRE Public Cloud technology roadmaps.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to release and evolve enterprise-class solutions.
- Manage critical banking operations, including 24/7 on-call support.
- Enhance resiliency and reliability of customer-facing services.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with an engineering mindset.
- Build tooling to support service reliability and code quality.
- Lead Chaos Engineering initiatives to stress-test services.
What You’ll Need
- Strong experience in SRE and DevOps practices.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Terraform, or Jenkins.
- Experience with incident management tools such as ServiceNow.
- Proficiency in Dynatrace, Splunk, and Cloud Observability.
- Familiarity with GCP and Azure cloud platforms.
- Ability to identify and automate repetitive tasks (toil).
- Strong understanding of reliability and performance management, including SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs.
- Experience leading incident response and post-mortem analysis.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering teams and promote SRE principles.
- Technical oversight of cloud infrastructure, observability, and automation frameworks.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Kubernetes, Harness, GitHub, or Jenkins orchestration.
- Strong understanding of Cloud security and networking.
- Programming or scripting proficiency.
- Knowledge of microservice architecture and technical design principles.
