Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Young Adult Disability (YAD) Team, supporting young adults aged 14–26 with severe learning disabilities, complex needs, or profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD).
As a Senior Social Worker, you’ll play a key role in managing a team, supporting transitions, and developing services for young people across Edinburgh.
What You’ll Do
- Lead a team of dedicated social workers
- Support young adults through transitions to adulthood
- Work within multidisciplinary teams and with health and care partners
- Apply trauma-informed, relationship-based, and strengths-based practice
- Promote early intervention and self-directed support
What You’ll Need
- Qualified Social Worker (required)
- MHO, Practice Educator, or ASP qualifications (desirable)
- Experience in Mental Health, Adult with Incapacity, or Adult Support & Protection
- Proven leadership and teamwork skills
