Role Description
This on-site Support Worker role involves providing emotional and practical assistance to individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs. Responsibilities include daily living support, personal care, accurate record keeping, and collaboration with healthcare and social service teams.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living tasks such as shopping, cooking, and cleaning.
- Provide emotional support and companionship.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans.
- Maintain accurate records of activities and progress.
- Support clients during medical appointments and treatments.
- Help clients access community resources and services.
- Provide transportation when required.
Qualifications
- Experience in social care, mental health, or learning disability services (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Empathetic, flexible, and able to work independently or in a team.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards.
- Strong time-management and organisational skills.
- Experience with report writing and record keeping.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- English language proficiency.
- Driving Licence (preferred).
