Overview
Ohana Care Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team in Northampton. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about supporting children and young people within a residential care setting and ready to take the next step in their career.
You will support the day-to-day running of the home, mentor staff, and ensure high standards of care are maintained at all times.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in line with individual care plans
- Act as a role model and mentor to Residential Support Workers
- Support the management team with shift planning, supervision, and daily operations
- Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning and reviews
Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Children and Young People) – essential
- Willingness to complete the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
- Experience working in a children’s residential care setting
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
