About the Role
Join our Safeguarding & Support Team as a Social Worker. You’ll safeguard children and young people through evidence-based assessments, care planning and interventions for those subject to Child Protection Plans.
You’ll develop skills in:
• Complex case management
• Multi-agency collaboration
• Court work
• Delivering life-changing support to children and families
About the Team
The team works to protect and promote the welfare of children and young people. Roles include Social Workers, Senior Practitioners and Assistant Team Managers. You’ll report to an Assistant Team Manager and work closely with a multi-disciplinary team.
About You

Key Responsibilities
As part of the Safeguarding & Support Team, you will:
• Undertake child protection investigations and provide clear assessments
• Assess needs of children and families, including pre-birth assessments
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary professionals
• Produce high-quality reports for meetings and legal proceedings
• Gather information from observations, interviews and partner agencies
• Develop and review care and protection plans
• Fulfil statutory duties including visits, reviews and court reports
• Conduct evidence-based assessments of needs and risks
Qualifications & Requirements
• Social Work qualification
• Registration with Social Work England
• Enhanced DBS check
