Job Description
We are looking for a creative and professionally curious Social Worker to join our Children’s Disability Service (CDS) in Eastbourne.
The CDS is a small, dedicated service supporting the most vulnerable children and young people in the county. Our social workers are trained to consider the specific vulnerabilities faced by children with disabilities. If you are a qualified social worker but lack direct experience in this area, we can offer bespoke training to help you develop specialist skills.
What we offer:
- A supportive environment with high aspirations for children and families.
- The Connected Families Intervention Practitioners (CFIP) initiative, ensuring social workers can focus on direct work with children, while practitioners support parents/carers.
- Regular multi-agency peer supervisions.
- Our Connected Practice model, designed to strengthen relationships with children and families while delivering meaningful interventions.
What we’re looking for:
- Ability to engage with children and families with creativity, compassion, and authority.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, using research and theory in practice.
- Leadership qualities to guide and support others.
- Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and tackling discrimination.
