Salary: £56,745 – £63,051 per annum (UKRI Band F)

Overview

UKRI is seeking two Strategic HR Business Partners to join the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC). You will work closely with senior leaders to develop and deliver an HR agenda that supports organisational goals, builds people capability, and drives cultural and business transformation.

These roles will support the STFC Transformation Programme, partnering with leaders across the organisation to design and implement people strategies, embed change, and provide trusted HR leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build trusted partnerships with leaders and managers, acting as a credible advisor and critical friend.
  • Support culture change and business transformation through coaching, challenge, and HR expertise.
  • Ensure effective HR service delivery in partnership with HR Operations.
  • Design and deliver people strategies covering skills, capability, workforce planning, performance management, and leadership development.
  • Lead on organisational design, restructuring, and improved ways of working.
  • Oversee workforce and budget planning, recruitment, resourcing, and employee lifecycle activities.
  • Support delivery of HR initiatives including performance, reward, and talent management.
  • Analyse HR data and insights to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Manage employee relations cases, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.
  • Line manage one or more team members.

Person Specification (Essential)

  • CIPD membership and/or degree (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Strong track record in HR leadership across complex organisations.
  • Experience in organisational development, change management, and workforce planning.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver people strategies that drive performance, capability, and culture change.
  • Strong collaboration, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Experience using HR data/analytics to demonstrate impact.
  • Proven experience in project and change management.
  • Line management experience.
