Job Description
Elizabeth House is a well-established service providing accommodation and support for homeless people with a range of complex needs. It is a 24-bed hostel with 59 dispersed flats across the community.
We are seeking reliable, empathetic and self-motivated Support Workers who can demonstrate an understanding of the challenges faced by those affected by homelessness.
You don’t need previous experience, but confidence, compassion, strong communication and basic computer skills are essential.
Hours: 8am – 4pm and 2pm – 10pm, with 1 weekend in 6.
Travel: A driving licence is preferred, as some dispersed housing is not accessible by public transport (mileage reimbursed).
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide support planning, risk assessments and reviews for service users.
- Manage caseloads within the hostel and dispersed housing across Gedling, Broxtowe and Rushcliffe.
- Signpost tenants to services for health, substance misuse and wellbeing.
- Assist with housing applications, move-on options and budgeting/life skills.
- Liaise with key partners, stakeholders and service providers.
