We’re seeking a Support Worker to join our warm and caring team at the Sense Centre in Smethwick. No previous experience is required — full training will be provided.
You will be supporting individuals who are deaf, blind, or have dual sensory impairments. The people we support lead active lives, and you’ll assist them with personal care as well as a range of activities that promote health and wellbeing — from arts, dance, and music to swimming and even rock climbing.
The Day Service operates Monday to Sunday, and you should be willing to work some late nights and occasional weekends.
A full manual UK driving licence is essential, as you’ll use an 8-seater company vehicle for appointments and trips.
Knowledge of or a qualification in British Sign Language (BSL) is desirable.
