Mavam provides supported housing to individuals aged 16+ living with complex needs, including mental health challenges, learning disabilities, substance misuse issues, and behavioural difficulties.
The purpose of this role is to support service users in maximising their independence, wellbeing, and personal goals within the community.
Mavam was rated Excellent in the 2024 PAMMS audit completed by Suffolk County Council, placing them in the top 5% of providers in the Eastern region for quality of service.
Shift Pattern
4-week rolling rota (7.5 – 10 hour shifts)
Common shifts include:
- 7:00am – 3:00pm
- 9:00am – 5:00pm
- 11:00am – 7:00pm
- 2:00pm – 11:00pm
- Sleep-ins: 11:00pm – 7:00am
Reporting to: Assistant Team Leader
Key Responsibilities
- Build caring and respectful relationships with service users
- Promote independence, autonomy, and wellbeing
- Support service users with welfare benefits and funding applications
- Encourage participation in activities and goal setting
- Maintain health and safety standards within accommodation
- Advocate on behalf of service users (case conferences, housing negotiations, welfare rights support)
- Maintain accurate documentation and records
- Submit timesheets and mileage claims within deadlines
