Job Description
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people with additional support needs? We’re recruiting Support Workers/Playworkers for our Summer Holiday Hub service based at St Crispin’s School, 1 Burdiehouse Crescent, Edinburgh, EH17 8EX.
Role
As part of our dynamic and caring team, you’ll:
- Plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate activities such as baking, arts and crafts, sports, and games.
- Support young people in outdoor play and on community trips.
- Provide personal care with dignity and respect.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.
Working Hours
- Shift times: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Days: Monday to Thursday
- Duration: During the School Summer Holidays
- Flexibility: As a relief staff member, you choose the shifts you want to work!
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from individuals who are:
- Passionate about working with children and young people with additional needs.
- Empathetic, flexible, and excellent communicators.
- Experienced in a similar role (desirable but not essential).
- Ideally qualified (SVQ3/HNC in Childcare preferred, but not required).
Capability Scotland provides mandatory training and can support SVQ qualifications.
