Overview

Liverpool City Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager to join our Permanence Service within Children’s Social Care. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team making a real difference to the lives of children and young people across Liverpool.
You will be a qualified, SWE-registered social worker with proven leadership experience in a frontline statutory setting. The role involves overseeing a large social work team, managing staff and resources, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for children in care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support a team responsible for children looked after and children in care
  • Ensure consistent quality standards and promote stable placements
  • Maintain strong relationships with partners and agencies
  • Embed a high-performance culture through supervision and professional development
  • Oversee compliance with children’s legislation, policies, and frameworks
